About the type of mask
In view of the choice of masks we are more confused, here to introduce several different standards of masks: the model of the mask and the implementation of the standard are printed on the left side of the mask, you can follow this to buy a mask.
1>> Masks are divided into three standards:
N95 mask is made according to American standard NOISH by 3M and honeywell.
FFP2 mask is the European standard EN149;
KN95 mask is the Chinese standard gb2626-2006.
All masks printed on the implementation of the standard is the three are qualified masks.
The larger the number on the mask, the higher the protection level. It is easier to understand by using a formula:
FFP3 > FFP2=N95=KN95 > KN90
A number with a V at the end indicates a valve.
All 95’s start with the N95 series.
Series 90 does not have the same level of protection as 95, but it can resist more than 90%, which is much better than normal masks.
In general, the N95 series is adequate against viruses and influenza
2>>The medical N95 mask needs to prevent high pressure liquid splashing, so it is higher than the standard of ordinary N95.
Take 3M as example: models 1860 and 9132 are the most commonly used medical respirators, in addition, there are also children’s 1860s.
General people or medical personnel who do not come into contact with high-pressure liquid spillage can choose to meet the standard of NOISH standard of ordinary N95 masks.
3>>European manufacturers of FFP2 standard masks include German UVEX, etc. FFP3 is a higher level (99) respirator.
4>>Chinese standard GB2626-2006 refers to the standard of ordinary KN95 masks.
The standard of medical KN95 mask is GB19083-2010.

5>>Another common problem is, mask with valve or without valve mask? Normal masks with valves are more comfortable, surgical masks are not allowed with valves. When ordinary people are infected or suspected to be infected, they must choose a surgical mask without valve.
6>>Medical surgical mask, the common standard is YY0469-2010, or YY0469-2011, it is printed on the independent packaging of each mask.
Specific models of N95 masks:
1860/1870 + this model is used for medical operations, anti-wet dust, etc.
8210/8511 this model is used for construction engineering, anti-dust, etc.
9210+ this model is used for industrial engineering, anti-sand dust and decay materials, etc
